New Varieties

This year we have 3 new varieties that we are excited about. Here is a sneak peek of the strawberries you will be eating in the future. All of these pictures were taken on the same day near the end of January. Notice the differences in plant size and fruit production.

Granada

– This variety is currently pushing flowers and has some fruit that will be ready in the coming weeks. It has a slower start then some other varieties and currently has a tightly clustered shape.

Fronteras

– This variety has some fruit ready now (end of January) and is the biggest of the three new varieties. The fruit is characterized by a firm texture but sweet taste.

Petaluma

– The petaluma variety is producing early fruit, we have already harvested from this variety. The plant size remains small, but is less compact than the Granada variety.
